ok i typed this in once and i don't know where it went and I'M NOT HAPPY!
*ahem*
the other girl quit last week. i came in and she said she was going to quit. i assumed she meant she was going to tell him this was her last day. no, she was quitting right then. not even going to work the day.
so she told him, he paid her, he left the barn for about 2 hours and then came back and was a sweet as pie to me.
i can't say i blame her. he had just come back on friday from a two week trip to michigan and was all manic and chaotic and twirly (hee phoebe) and bitchy. no "thanks for taking care of my business you two while i was gone" no "kissmyass" nothing. she tried to call him thursday to ask if she could not work on friday because she got promoted at her other job and they want to train her. he didn't get the message until friday so she came in. he told her it was "fantastic" she was promoted (finally) but she had a "moral obligation" to work there until he was basicly done with her. it turns out he was thinking of leaving again the next week. she was legitimately thinking that when the farm closed she needed that promotion because the farm work won't last forever and she was worried if she couldn't be trained they would promote someone else. well, he bullied her enough that he finally called her other boss to work out her schedule there.
wtf?
then he was a dick to us those two days so she came in sunday and said she was quitting. she only had three more weeks, but she just couldn't take it anymore. and that is a common occurrence at the farm. people have just 2-3 weeks to go but because he's so unpredictable they just can't take it. and he thinks it has to do with their character, not his.
then this weekend he informs me he's going back packing again. fine with me. stay away as long as you want.
